We are excited to launch the 2017-2018 Season on September 12! Our booking application came through and we have a single resident venue for all 15 weeks this fall. So no more moving around! Received today is our Certificate of Insurance and our club membership with Badminton Alberta which have been renewed for another year. We are currently reviewing user fees and funding avenues to make this a sustainable program.

We play Tuesdays 7-9pm at Georges P. Vanier School in the Inner-City northeast. Address and details are under the “Play” tab of our site.

Hello Badminton Fans!

We hope you all had a great summer! Just a quick update to let everyone know that venue application for the upcoming fall season was submitted back on July 25 — 10 minutes after online booking became available. Apparently as of last week, the City was *still* processing the “high volume” of applications received during that 10-minute period. It’s pretty much don’t-call-us-we’ll-call-you-when-it’s-done kind of bureaucratic situation.

Hopefully we’ll be able to resume our season in mid-September in a much more centrally-located venue. *fingers crossed*

Our regular badminton sessions continue in the NE for two weeks only. On February 21 and 28 we’ll be playing at O S Geiger School in Castleridge. See our February Calendar for details.
